Laeds believe that music should have a higher purpose, a message, and there is no better genre for storytelling than progressive rock. Their music transcends genres, blending heavy, metal-infused passages with introspective, mellow segments. Distorted guitars and powerful drums contrast with soothing synths and haunting violins, then leaving space to acoustic soundscapes rich with vocal harmonies, creating a dynamic range that mirrors the complexity of life itself. Each song is a meticulously crafted narrative journey where every note serves a purpose, inviting listeners to reflect and feel deeply.
A six-man band from South Tyrol, Laeds began their journey in 2013 with the home-recorded album SALVAGE, brimming with inexperience but also love and meticulous attention. In 2018, they captured the magic of their rainy live performance at Brixen’s ex-prison-turned-theatre, releasing it as LEFT IN THE CELLS. 2019 saw the release of HOMESTAGE, a concept EP spotlighting societal issues through six distinct characters. Their latest album, BONE CAGE (2022), delves into the thoughts, fears, and hopes of these characters, translating their narratives into evocative music.
